In a day and age of social media, with video is getting increasingly popular, finding a good video host is an important step in uploading videos for the Internet to see. Although you could go with the traditional route and use YouTube to host all of your videos, there are plenty of other companies that you should consider as well.
One of the most important factors in choosing video hosting is the amount of control you have over your videos. Although most video host allow you to make your videos private, there are few that make them public regardless of your intention. Most of the popular video host, such as YouTube, Viddler, and MySpace video all allow you to set the privacy settings while the video is uploading. They also make it very easy to upload several videos at once, with their batch upload process.
Most video host also allow you to implant a URL in the description, which is handy if you are an affiliate marketer or want the video to lead traffic to your website. You can also tag your videos with several different descriptive keywords that help people searching find your video based on its content.
There’s one video host in particular that I like because it allows you to brand your videos with your own logo and URL. It is called Viddler and many people use it for business videos or online TV shows.
Although you could host your own videos on your own website, since videos take up a lot of space you can eat up your storage space very quickly. This is why I recommend that you find a video host and use them as the primary source for your videos. From there, you can easily embed those videos on your website as you need to. If you are using videos as marketing tools, then I recommend uploading to as many video host as possible. One great site to help you do this is called Tube Mogul, and it is a free service. You can also upload videos individually if you prefer, but it can take a lot of time to manually upload a video to several websites.
This blog is definitely going to help the people with their sites seeking some traffic via videos over the net.. great stuff
I agree with that it’s always better to go for a video host, especially when you give users of your site the option to upload videos and you can’t expect the size of those videos they upload. You don’t want your site visitors to lose interest. Nice article
It is good if you put some links like viddler .com .

I dont think disk space would be an issue, as the sata is cheap in nowadays. it’s less than $100/1TB. Take my server as an example, I have 300GB free space, but I just need to pay around $30 for it on a monthly basis.
going for a video host is a really good idea and i agree with you that viddler .com is the best among them…
I think Youtube would probably be the best video host because it means you can get views from youtube too. I’d rather host them myself though.
