Here are the things you have to do, in order to post the initial eBay auction of yours:

1) Open a seller’s account on eBay.
If you are a buyer on eBay, you should already own your account, so simply log into your account and click on ‘Sell’ at the very top toolbar of the web page. After that, you should create your account as a seller.
If you have never been on eBay yet, a new account will need to be opened, first and foremost. This can be done by clicking on ‘register’ under the toolbar. Then, click on ‘Sell’ and then create your account as a seller. eBay will then come up with a guide that can speed along the process quite easily. To keep security, you may have to give out your bank information and credit card details for future transactions.

2) Know what you wish to sell.
If you are just starting out and experimenting on eBay, this does not matter much. Just look around you and if there’s something you no longer need in there, try posting it. This could be anything from tiny books to CDs.

3) Submit the item.
Once you click on ‘Sell’, you can start listing the items.
A category will need to be chosen. The best way to find one is to simply type what you perceive the item to be and then eBay will select it for you. Then, write a simple title along with a description. Add keywords that people would want to use in searching for it, as well as other information it may need in the box of descriptions.
Then, you will need to set a certain starting price, of which $0.01 would usually be the best since people will then be very interested in bidding for the product. Then, you will need to set a certain bidding duration, which is completely your call. The sales that last longer usually get the most bids, but they also take forever to end. It is also important to add a picture for the item, as they tend to sell more.
Lastly, choose the payment method you want to use; PayPal would be best, and where the post should send it.
Then, click on ‘Submit’ and that’s it!

4) Wait.
All you have to do now is sit back and wait. Buyers will eventually see the item you are selling and bid on it. Several buyers may ask questions and these should be answered as fast as possible. If you don’t sell the item, you can re-list it if you wish.

5) Get paid and send it.
The buyer will be sent an e-mail, wherein he will be guiding in the buying process. Ensure that the money is there that was agreed upon before sending it. Once the payment has been received, all that is left for you is to pack these items and posting them.

Prior to joining Rackspace in 2000, Mr. Moorman held several positions at the management consulting firm McKinsey and Company, advising a variety of technology firms. Mr. Moorman holds a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Mr. Moorman added, ”Cloud computing is the next step for business hosting and brings a whole new set of challenges and opportunities for Rackspace. Our investments in these new technologies have yielded strong results and we think the future model of hybrid hosting, the use of traditional hosting and cloud computing along with our trademark Fanatical Support will be a great combination for our customers. Internet solutions provider serving SMBs and enterprises internationally and the developer of Server Doctor, Future Hosting, has deployed an internal private network between its five international data center facilities.

The facilities are located in Chicago, Ill.; Dallas, Texas; Seattle, Wash.; Washington, D.C.; and London, England.

Charles Kowalski, COO of Future Hosting remarked, ”Whether it’s synchronizing data between two failover hosting points, or managing a corporate IT infrastructure spread across two continents, our internal network is an attractive feature for our customers and it does not cost them a penny more to use. It also allows our customers to reach beyond the traditional limitations of a standalone Virtual Private Server and leverage our vast capacity for growth.”

The internal network is connected to all Future Hosting servers through physically separate network cards installed alongside network cards used for Internet connectivity. Each server’s private network card is assigned a private IP address that allows Future Hosting servers to communicate with each other on the internal network.

Through the internal network, Future Hosting customers may take advantage of unmetered data transfer between all other Future Hosting servers and services in its five data centers. This capability is especially attractive for hosting resellers, developers, and others who wish to take advantage of the geographically diverse infrastructure from Future Hosting.

The internal network also bolsters security, since it allows customers with multiple servers to transfer data between locations in a secured environment not accessible to the open Internet.

There is no additional charge for customers to utilize the private network. Customers may request access from Future Hosting’s sales department.

Future Hosting is the developer of the award-winning Server Doctor, a system designed to provide a proactive approach to maintaining Virtual Private Servers. The technology automates everything from account provisioning to security scans, without tying up the resources of the customer support department.

Founded in 2001, Future Hosting is a privately held leading Internet solutions provider specializing in managed hosting, including both Dedicated Servers and Virtual Private Servers. The company has built a strong reputation for its high-quality customer service, innovative pricing models, and 3-hour Service Level Agreement. Future Hosting is based in Novi, Mich.

Managed dedicated, hybrid and virtual private server (VPS) hosting solutions provider, WiredTree, has reported a major and significant upgrade to its line of Managed Hybrid Servers.

The solution was developed as a unique hosting platform offering access to dedicated resources in a virtualized hosting environment.

Zac Cogswell, President of WiredTree noted, ”Leveraging the ‘best of both worlds’ is the name of the game. Our Managed Hybrid Servers outperform similarly priced dedicated servers by a formidable margin, and as we look to the future, we are positioning our products to compete more aggressively on both performance and affordability.”

Managed Hybrid Servers now boast 2000GB of monthly premium data transfer, full nightly backups, and a variety of other value-added features. To boot, WiredTree pared pricing by 20 percent, reducing the starting cost to only $99 per month.

However, unlike traditional dedicated servers, Managed Hybrid Servers offer burstable CPU utilization and more flexible data storage options, including RAID-10 configurations.

All Managed Hybrid Server plans are fully managed and include ServerShield security hardening, in addition to 24/7 phone and helpdesk support.

Formed in June 2006 to set a new standard for managed hosting, WiredTree provides a superior managed hosting environment through customer service, innovative network design, a unique suite of services, and the latest technological advances in server hardware. WiredTree designed a network that leverages two logically separated networks – a public Internet network and a private internal network. This modern “network-within-a-network” design allows the company to securely provide a wide range of value-added services for business of all sizes.

WebhostGIANT has capitalized on years of experience to streamline a service we now offer. Also, we only do shared web hosting. And we do it well. By listening to our clients and providing the additional services they need, we are always ahead of their expectations. We are never happy with what we offer. This is why we are always adding more features and improving upon our industry-leading services already in place.”
